Inis Iron Meáin 2024 will take place on the island of Inis Meáin in the Aran Islands this Saturday, May 4. Celebrating its 20th year, Inis Iron Meáin is the original island road race which continues to attract hundreds of runners and spectators each year to the incredibly scenic island, with a record number of 550 participants at last year’s race.

When Mrs Nolan’s son wanted to run in an election, Isaac Butt, the Irish Parliamentary Party leader stipulated that his nomination would not be ratified until such time as his mother reinstated her evicted tenants and so the Ó Máille family were awarded a fine farm holding in Brackloon in the parish of Corofin, east of the Corrib.

TG4’s new cookery show for January is the first of its kind on Irish television. Planda go Pláta is a beautiful series that celebrates plant-based cooking. Inis Meáin will celebrate the blackberry harvest this Saturday with Féile na bPuiteachaí, a festival named for the islanders’ unique Irish word, puiteachaí, which is used on Inis Meáin instead of the more commonly heard word for blackberries, sméara dubha.
